Yesterday I met up with 4 families for Spring Mini Sessions by Adams. They had been rescheduled due to the awful snow storm we got right before the original date. Ugh. It was a bit chilly, but I guess I’m just thankful there was no snow on the ground and the grass was green. 🙂 Here’s hoping Spring is going to get here soon!
All the adorable kiddos I took pictures of yesterday totally rocked it and they turned out absolutely fabulous!
It’s a bit (okay a lot) intimidating when a fellow photographer has you take pictures of their family. Emily of Emily Schnick Photography has done my family’s pictures a couple of times now and now it was my turn to test my skills on her adorable family. Her little baby is about a month old and just tiny; I’m insanely jealous of how awesome Emily looks already. Big sister was a riot and apparently liked me tickling her because there were a couple of times she told me she wouldn’t smile unless I did it. 🙂 I think we got some great shots with a super adorable family.

I’m SLOWLY getting wound down from the holiday excitement and have finally managed to get my favorites of 2011 rounded up to post. I had such a tough time narrowing them down, so there are 77 total! I’ll be posting over the course of the next week or so to get them all posted.
I know I say this ALL THE TIME, but I really have the best job as a photographer and the BEST clients.
I met up with the W Family this evening at the History Museum. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot because they have such cool stuff there. This family was a lot of fun and I was super jealous of the well-behaved kids. Miss E is a total sassy pants and was striking poses for me left and right. Miss A was a cutie patootie who did great the entire session. Mr E was a ham and definitely is a daddy’s boy. He had the best smile – we just had to work a bit to get them.
Overall, the session was tons of fun! W Family, thanks for letting me capture your fun personalities! Enjoy your “sneak peek” 🙂

My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the craziness that is a family with 3 kids!
This little guy was a dream baby. He struggled for a bit getting to sleep, but soon Mr. L was out and stayed sleeping the entire time no matter how much moving and juggling we did. I think he is set up to be a model already and his parents are going to have some problems with girls at their doors when he is older. 🙂
I remembered when I got home that I had forgotten to take a picture of him in his room. His daddy had painted it all with Dr. Suess characters and sayings and it was pretty much the coolest room ever. Seriously tempted to go back again just to get a picture of it. 🙂

I know with this beautiful weather, it’s hard to think about fall – but school is right around the corner and before you know it, we’ll be complaining about the cold and snow! This little guy made me work hard for the pictures we got. He’s so cute that we can’t be mad. 🙂
It was fun to hold a little newborn again even if he did make me work and sweat. 🙂 Thankfully he saved the messes for mommy and daddy!
The title of my post has absolutely nothing to do with my session today – but it’s the 4th of July and I thought I needed something fitting and it was all I could think of. 🙂
I met up with this family of 30(!!!!) today during an hour of their weekend-long family reunion. The mission was to get them all in one picture. We did succeed, but I haven’t edited any of those pictures yet. Instead, I simply chose one picture of each family to show for their sneak peek and will save the “big” picture for them to view in the gallery.
Thank you for trusting me to take the pictures for your family. You were fabulous to work with(for) and it didn’t even seem like 30 people. 🙂

Well, the song seems fitting to the session I had tonight.

But, she has another fun surprise.
A new baby brother – and he is as cute as they come. He is 3 months old and adorable. ALMOST gave me baby fever. Almost.
And obviously mom and dad are where they get their gorgeous looks from.
And I’m pretty sure this look is what he gave me when I said we still had more pictures to take. 😉
